Product Processing
🏭
Graphite electrodes are manufactured from high-quality, low-ash materials such as petroleum coke, needle coke and coal tar pitch.
⚙️
After calcination of raw materials, crushing, screening, batching, kneading, forming, baking, impregnation, graphitization, and then precision machining with professional CNC processing.
✅
Product characteristics include: low specific resistance, good electrical conductivity, low ash content, compact structure, good oxidation resistance and high mechanical strength — making it the ideal conductive material for electric arc furnaces and smelting furnaces.
Applications
🔥For ladle furnaces (LF)
⚡For steel production in electric arc furnaces (EAF)
🟡For yellow phosphorus furnaces
🏗️Applied to industrial silicon furnaces or copper smelting furnaces
🔩Used for steel refining in ladle furnaces and other smelting processes

Product Transportation & Installation Guide
1
Electrodes should be stored in a clean, dry place and protected from vibration and collision. Before use, they should be thoroughly dried.
2
When installing the connection, please clean the socket hole with compressed air, then carefully screw in the nipple without damaging the threads.
3
When connecting electrodes, both electrodes should be cleaned with compressed air when they are 20–30 mm apart from each other.
4
When using a wrench to connect the electrode, it must be fully tightened to the specified position so that the gap between two electrodes is no less than 0.05 mm.
5
To avoid electrode breakage, avoid using insulating blocks.
6
To avoid electrode breakage, place the support block at the upper part of the electrode.
❓ Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q
What is an HP grade graphite electrode and where is it used?
HP (High Power) grade graphite electrodes are manufactured from premium needle petroleum coke. They are primarily used in electric arc furnaces (EAF) and ladle furnaces (LF) for steelmaking, steel refining, yellow phosphorus furnaces, industrial silicon furnaces, and copper smelting applications.
Q
What diameter sizes are available for HP graphite electrodes?
HP graphite electrodes are available in nominal diameters ranging from Ø200 mm to Ø600 mm, and HP Type II electrodes are available in diameters from Ø350 mm to Ø500 mm. Lengths range from 1800 mm to 2400 mm.
Q
What are the key physical properties of your HP graphite electrodes?
Our HP graphite electrodes feature electrical resistance of 4.5–6.5 μΩ·m, apparent density of 1.65–1.75 g/cm³, flexural strength of 8–12 MPa, elastic modulus of 8.50–15.50 GPa, thermal expansion coefficient of 1.1–1.5 × 10⁻⁶/℃, and a current carrying capacity of 20–35 KA.
Q
What payment methods and trade terms do you accept?
We accept multiple payment methods including T/T, L/C, D/P, D/A, Western Union, and Cash. We support currencies such as USD, EUR, JPY, CAD, CNY, and AUD. Available trade terms include FOB, CFR, CIF, EXW, and DDP, with shipments from Xingang or Qingdao, China.
Q
How should HP graphite electrodes be stored and handled?
Electrodes must be stored in a clean, dry environment away from vibration and physical impact. Before use, they should be fully dried. During installation, clean the socket with compressed air and carefully thread the nipple to avoid damaging the thread. Always use a wrench to tighten connections to the specified torque with a gap of no less than 0.05 mm between electrodes.
Q
How are the graphite electrodes packaged for shipping?
Our HP graphite electrodes are securely packed in wooden boxes or crates and strapped with metal banding to ensure safe delivery during international transportation. This packaging method protects the electrodes from damage due to vibration or collision in transit.
